Our mission is to provide exceptional medical and surgical care to our patients while providing our clients with education and assistance in all aspects of animal husbandry and ownership.
We have four full-time veterinarians and about 25 support staff. Our team works well together to provide the best medicine to our patients. Our highly trained team believes that your pet deserves compassionate care for all their veterinary issues. We strive to exceed our clients’ expectations by treating owners and their pets with respect, honesty and compassion that they deserve.
Meet the Pondview Team!
We will always remember we are the advocates for the animals and promise to treat all pets as if they were our own.
Gizmo is our clinic cat. He was surrendered to Pondview and has since taken up residence. He can often be seen in the waiting room and can hypnotize you with his piercing blue eyes. He is a gentle soul that loves attention!
Dr. Pat lives in Archbold with his lovely wife, 2 dogs, 5 cats, and his swan, Jackie. He loves to spend time outside gardening, watching the birds, and enjoying nature. Dr. Pat and his family plan to retire to Michigan in spring of 2019; Jackie will stay at Pondview.
Upon graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Tasha joined Dr. Pat at Pondview Veterinary Clinic working with large, small and exotic animal species. Here she really enjoys all the various aspects of her job; reproduction, surgery, pocket pets and large animals (especially goats and cows) are among some of her favorite.
Dr. Tasha and her husband, Mark, live in Archbold with their daughter, Kenzie. The three of them share their house with three large dogs, three cats and a school of fish. In her free time, Dr. Tasha likes to scrapbook, ride ATVs, dabble in carpentry and play outdoor sports.
Dr. Emily Gearig has been member of our team since June 2012. She attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri as a Presidential Scholar where she earned a Bachelor degree in Animal Science, Pre-veterinary Option. Dr. Emily then went on to earn her DVM in 2011 from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. In addition to her clinical endeavors, Dr. Emily maintains active membership with the American Veterinary Medicine Association, Ohio Veterinary Medicine Association and Toledo Veterinary Medicine Association. Currently, Dr. Emily is working on her certification in veterinary spinal manipulation therapy. She is expected to complete her certification and become a Fellow of the College of Animal Chiropractors in June.
In addition to veterinary medicine, Dr. Emily enjoys spending time with her family as a mom and wife. She and her husband enjoy upland bird hunting with their two German Shorthaired Pointers, Deuce and King. Dr. Emily also enjoys attending draft horse shows to spend time with her extended family.
