We will always remember we are the advocates for the animals and promise to treat all pets as if they were our own.

Gizmo is our clinic cat.

Gizmo is our clinic cat. He was surrendered to Pondview and has since taken up residence. He can often be seen in the waiting room and can hypnotize you with his piercing blue eyes. He is a gentle soul that loves attention!

Our Veterinarians

Dr. Tasha Small

Dr. Tasha Small grew up in Henry County and graduated from Napoleon High School in 2002. From there, she went on to the University of Findlay to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Tasha then completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine coursework from The Ohio State University and graduated in 2011.

Upon graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Tasha joined Dr. Pat at Pondview Veterinary Clinic working with large, small and exotic animal species. Here she really enjoys all the various aspects of her job; reproduction, surgery, pocket pets and large animals (especially goats and cows) are among some of her favorite.

Dr. Tasha and her husband, Mark, live in Archbold with their 2 children; Kenzie and Kase. They have a bulldog/mastiff mix named Louie and a Newfoundland named Bristol. They also have 3 inside and numerous outside cats.

In her free time, Dr. Tasha likes to scrapbook, ride ATVs, dabble in carpentry and play outdoor sports.

Dr. Emily Gearig

Dr. Emily Gearig has been member of our team since June 2012. She attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri as a Presidential Scholar where she earned a Bachelor degree in Animal Science, Pre-veterinary Option. Dr. Emily then went on to earn her DVM in 2011 from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. In addition to her clinical endeavors, Dr. Emily maintains active membership with the American Veterinary Medicine Association, Ohio Veterinary Medicine Association and Toledo Veterinary Medicine Association. Currently, Dr. Emily is working on her certification in veterinary spinal manipulation therapy. She is expected to complete her certification and become a Fellow of the College of Animal Chiropractors in June.

In addition to veterinary medicine, Dr. Emily enjoys spending time with her family as a mom and wife. She and her husband enjoy upland bird hunting with their two German Shorthaired Pointers, Deuce and King. Dr. Emily also enjoys attending draft horse shows to spend time with her extended family.
