Dr. Tasha
Dr. Tasha Small grew up in Henry County and graduated from Napoleon High School in 2002. From there, she went on to the University of Findlay to earn her Bachelor of Science degree, and then she completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine coursework from The Ohio State University and graduated in 2011.
Upon graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Tasha joined Dr. Pat at Pondview Veterinary Clinic working with large, small, and exotic animal species. Dr. Tasha worked alongside Dr. Pat until he was ready to retire and then purchased Pondview in July of 2018.
Dr. Tasha and her husband, Mark, live in Archbold with their 3 children; Kenzie, Kase, and Keaston. They have 5 large dogs and 3 cats inside as well as 2 outside cats.
In her free time, Dr. Tasha enjoys spending time with her family. The Small family enjoys camping, swimming, riding recreational vehicles, and just about any outdoor activity

Dr. Jessica
Dr. Jessica graduated from University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2013 and a Master of Liberal Studies in 2015. She completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the island of St. Kitts in the Caribbean and completed her clinical rotation year at Louisiana State University. She graduated with her degree in 2023.
Dr. Jessica and her husband, Kyle, live in Toledo with their new baby, Connor. They have 2 dogs named Bumble and Zuko and a cat named Hiccup.
In her free time, she enjoys relaxing with her family, going to Cedar Point, and going to the movies. Dr. Jessica and her husband are also part of a paranormal investigation group based out
of Holland, Ohio.

Dr. Rachel joined Pondview Veterinary Clinic as an associate veterinarian in September of 2024. She attended The Ohio State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Zoology before continuing her studies at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine,
graduating in 2022
Outside of work, Dr. Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband and son on the family farm. She has a particular fondness for her Basset Hound, who is an integral part of her family. In her free time, Dr. Rachel enjoys reading, exercising, and traveling.
Client Service Coordinator
Kristin Michalkiewicz
Kristin is a creative and detail-oriented professional from Delta, Ohio, where she has lived for 44 years. She’s worked as a Client Services Coordinator at Pondview since 2019. Kristin holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Adrian College and a Master’s in Arts Management from Columbia College Chicago. She’s a proud alumna of Chi Omega Fraternity. In her free time, Kristin enjoys reading, painting, drawing, and co-curating art shows. She values spending time with loved ones and friends and loves her two dogs, Winston and Bogey.

Jordan Norden
Jordan is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. She has been with Pondview Veterinary Clinic since 2018 as the Lead Client Service Representative and Social Media Manager. Jordan and her husband, Jacob, live in Napoleon with their 3 dogs, 3 cats, 3 reptiles, and a lot of chickens. In her free time, Jordan enjoys spending time with her family, traveling the world, playing video games, or being outdoors.

Amberly Smitley
Amberly joined Pondview in 2015 and has been an integral part of the team ever since. Originally from Georgia, she is a true southern peach with a passion for emergency medicine. When she’s not working, Amberly is busy cheering on her two boys at their sporting events, especially wrestling. A big football fan, she proudly supports the Michigan Wolverines – Go Blue!
Amberly enjoys spending time at the lake, where she loves boating, fishing, and swimming. She’s also an avid reader and finds joy in getting lost in a good book. At home, Amberly treasures her time with her family and their beloved pets, including their chickens.

Alexis Gutierrez
Alexis is from Archbold, Ohio. Growing up, she was actively involved in 4-H and FFA, which sparked her passion for animals. She further pursued her interest in veterinary care by attending Four County Career Center’s Veterinary Assisting program. Alexis recently graduated from Stautzenberger College and shortly after joined the team at Pondview. Alexis especially enjoy getting to meet the clients and furry friends. Alexis enjoys performing lab diagnostics as well! Outside of work, Alexis, enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, as well as her two furry companions, Bella and Louie

Kylie Banister
Kylie has had the pleasure of being surrounded by animals her entire life. Growing up, she was actively involved in 4-H, where she developed a particular passion for showing pigs and raising livestock. This experience not only taught her valuable skills in animal care, but also instilled in her a deep appreciation for the bond between humans and animals. Now, as a dedicated member of the Pondview Vet Clinic team since 2019, Kylie feels fortunate to be able to combine her passion for animal care with her love for helping others. When she’s not working, Kylie enjoys spending time outdoors, whether that’s hunting with her family and friends or tending to her own animals, including her three dogs, Leo, Nash, and River, and the goats on her property. Being around animals brings Kylie a sense of joy and fulfillment that she feels grateful for every day.

Mandi Rohrs
Mandi Rohrs is a graduate of Holgate High School. While in school, she was involved in both 4- H and the Vo-Ag program. Her family raised pigs for many years and participated in numerous local, state, and national competitions. She also bred and raised goats for several years. Mandi loves sports, especially basketball, which she played from 5th grade through high school and still enjoys playing today. She is also a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Holgate where she enjoys helping work with the youth members.
Mandi became aware of the dedicated and caring staff members of Pondview when they saved her dog Koda. With continued visits, she developed a strong admiration for their work and compassion for animals. While attending college and majoring in education, she developed a chronic illness making a career in education difficult. After years of medicinal adjustments and physical endurance training, she asked to volunteer her time at Pondview. She absolutely loved it and was hired in 2019. She continues to enjoy the entire staff, the clients, and all of the amazing animals she comes into contact with on a daily basis.

Jenna Duppong
Jenna grew up on a North Dakota cattle farm, developing a strong work ethic and passion for livestock. She enjoys outdoor activities like hunting, and horseback riding. Prior to joining Pondview in 2020, she worked at an equine-assisted therapy program. As a veterinary assistant at Pondview, she combines her livestock experience with veterinary medicine interests. She especially loves working with large animals and performing lab diagnostics. At home, she’s surrounded by her husband, three dogs (Nelly, Harper, and Sierra), her horse (Dani), and three cats (Maxwell, Kevin, and Oliver).

Nicki is a dedicated Veterinary Assistant who has been an invaluable member of our team since 2017. With several years of experience in the veterinary field, she has developed a profound understanding of animal care and well-being, along with a passion for helping pets. She thrives
in a collaborative environment and works closely with veterinarians and fellow staff members to ensure that every animal receives the highest standard of care.
Outside of her professional life, Nicki enjoys a fulfilling personal life. She is happily married and shares her home with a loving family that includes a delightful dog named Bella and two charming cats, Loki and Raven. This household of pets inspires her daily and reinforces her commitment to animal welfare. Nicki believes that pet ownership is a rewarding experience, and she strives to share that passion with others through her work. Nicki’s love for animals extends beyond her career; she actively participates in local animal welfare events and advocates for responsible pet ownership in her community.
With her unwavering passion for animals, Nicki Christian is a respected and cherished member of the veterinary community. Whether she is assisting in a busy clinic or sharing her home with her beloved pets, Nicki embodies the essence of compassion and dedication that defines the veterinary profession.

Maigan is a graduate of Bryan High School in Bryan, where she lives with her daughter, three dogs, and three cats. She joined Pondview in 2024 as a client service representative. In her free time, Maigan enjoys fishing, playing coed volleyball, and going to the lake with her family.

Kathy Bell
Kathy is a passionate and dedicated Client Service Coordinator with a diverse background. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Bowling Green State University, has extensive customer service experience, and is a U.S. Air Force veteran. After joining Pondview in 2020, Kathy has always looked for new challenges and opportunities to grow personally and professionally. She believes strongly in animals’ impact on our lives and enjoys sharing her experiences with others. Kathy is from Defiance, where she resides with her twenty-two (yes, 22) dogs and enjoys reading in her free time.

Susan Simon
Susan is a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician at Pondview, where she has been an integral team member since 2002. Susan graduated from Stautzenberger College in 2001, solidifying her passion for animal care. Over the years, she has gained a reputation as the “cat whisperer” due to her special ability to connect with even the most skittish feline patients. Susan is particularly skilled at drawing blood, a task she enjoys and excels at.
Outside of work, Susan finds joy in a variety of hobbies, including searching for beach glass, reading, watching Dancing with the Stars, and experimenting in the kitchen with cooking and baking. She’s a proud mother to her son, Eli, and shares her home with her dog, Ginger. Susan
has been happily married since 2005 and values the balance of family life and her rewarding career working with animals.

Kait Schrock
Kait is a compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician who graduated from Stautzenberger College in 2019. She has been with Pondview Veterinary Clinic since 2020, where she passionately supports animal health through patient care and client education. Kait finds great fulfillment in her work, knowing she makes a difference in the lives of animals and their owners. In her free time, she loves soaking up summer days with her family and her three dogs— Memphis, Rip, and Archie. Kait also enjoys reading, crafting, and embarking on thrift-shopping adventures. Her dedication to her profession and her love for life outside of work makes her a well-rounded and caring individual.

Joslyn is a dedicated registered veterinary technician living in Archbold, Ohio. She graduated in 2019 from Archbold High School and Four County Career Center, then went on to earn her Associate’s degree in veterinary technology from International Business College in Indianapolis. At home, she shares her life with her Yorkie, Hazel, and her cat, Blade. Since 2021, Joslyn has been a valued team member at Pondview Vet Clinic, where she strives to provide exceptional patient care and enjoys making a difference in the lives of pets.

Mackenzie lives in Archbold with her husband, two German Shepherds, Bailey and Obi, and a cat named Old Man. A 2020 graduate of Pettisville High School, she went on to earn her degree from Stautzenberger College in 2022. Following her externship at Pondview, Mackenzie joined the team that same year. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her dogs and sewing custom bandanas for them. Mackenzie is passionate about her work and looks forward to continuing to make a positive impact at Pondview.

Jessica Weber
Jessica has over 10 years of experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician and has been with Pondview since 2010. She earned an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology from the Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology in Denver, Colorado. Her professional interests include large animal medicine and patient care. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities and traveling.

Lacey Yoder
Lacey is the business manager at Pondview Veterinary Clinic, a role she has embraced since 2024. Lacey grew up in Michigan on a dairy farm, where she developed a deep connection to animals and a hardworking, hands-on approach to life. She graduated in 2013 from Spring Arbor University with a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA).
Before joining Pondview Veterinary Clinic, Lacey worked in manufacturing, agriculture, and higher education. Her varied experiences have equipped her with a wide range of skills in business management, which she now applies to ensure smooth operations at the clinic. Lacey loves seeing the clinic’s patients on a daily basis and finds fulfillment in supporting the veterinary team and helping animals in need.
Lacey lives in the Archbold area with her husband, Ryan, and is a proud stepmom to Johnathan and Kinsey. Her love for animals is undeniable, as she shares her home with five dogs—Piper, Sasha, Pup, AK, and Henry—along with a variety of reptiles, including geckos, ball pythons, bearded dragons, and even a tegu. She fully embraces her home’s “mini zoo” and wouldn’t have it any other way.
When she’s not caring for her family and her beloved menagerie of pets, Lacey can be found immersed in a good book, honing her skills in shooting sports, or combing the beach for unique rock treasures. A passionate traveler, she’s always looking for her next adventure. And when it comes to college football, there’s no question where her loyalty lies—she’s proudly cheering on the Michigan Wolverines. Go Blue!
